What we check

Leaked credentials

How many times your email appears next to a password in leaks and credential lists circulating among attackers.

Malware logs

Whether your email is in files stolen by infostealers: programs that get onto a device and take the passwords saved in the browser.

Dark web

Mentions of your email in underground forums, marketplaces and Telegram channels where stolen data is sold and shared.

And where it was used

When the leak records the login page, we show you where your email was used, from most to least frequent. That's the list of accounts to check first.

If your email shows up, do this

  1. 1

    Check your device first

If it shows up in malware logs, the password was stolen from a device. Scan it with an up-to-date antivirus before changing anything: if it's still infected, it will take the new passwords too.

  2. 2

    Change the affected passwords

Start with the sites on the list, then any other where you reused the same password. Use a different one for every service; a password manager makes it easy.

  3. 3

    Turn on two-factor authentication

At least on your email, bank and social media. With a second factor, a stolen password is no longer enough to get in.

  4. 4

    Sign out of open sessions

Most services let you sign out of every device. Do it after changing the password to kick out anyone who was already in.

  5. 5

Be wary of messages that know too much

With your leaked data, a fake email or text can look very convincing. Don't open links in unexpected messages, even if they mention real details about you.

Why it can show up even if you did nothing wrong

Most leaks have nothing to do with you: a service you signed up for suffers a breach and its database ends up circulating. If you used the same password elsewhere, all those accounts are exposed.

The other big source is infostealers, hidden in pirated software, fake extensions or attachments. They take everything the browser has saved and sell it in bundles, which is why the same email can show up dozens of times.

Is it your company email?

A single leaked corporate account can open the VPN or the email of the whole organisation. Scan the entire domain to see how many credentials of your employees, customers and suppliers are exposed, and get alerts when new ones appear.

Frequently asked questions

Is checking my email free?

Yes. The check is free and you don't need an account. You only pay if you want to monitor an email or a domain and get alerts about new leaks.

Will you show me my password?

No. The public checker only shows how many times your email appears and on which sites. Passwords are never shown from here.

Where does the data come from?

From published leaks, credential lists, malware logs and dark web sources, underground forums and Telegram that we index continuously. We don't access anyone's systems: we only index what attackers have already published.

What is a stealer log?

It's the file an infostealer creates when it infects a device: it stores the addresses, usernames and passwords the browser had saved, along with the site for each one. If your email is in one, a device you use or used was probably infected.

If my email doesn't show up, am I safe?

It's a good sign, but not a guarantee: it only means it isn't in what we have indexed. Use a different password for every service and turn on two-factor authentication anyway.

Can I get an alert if it leaks in the future?

Yes. From the dashboard you can monitor an email and we'll write to you when it appears in a new leak. For a company, the usual choice is to monitor the whole domain.
